Many Australian cruising through the crisis….REALLY?….
“For Gen-Y type staff, they are just scratching their heads to work out how the global financial crisis is really impacting them,” he says.
“If they’re not paying off a home loan, if they haven’t got substantial share market investments but they’re in secure employment, then theyre probably not seeing a great impact.
If anything its a positive.”
The biggest assumption here is “..but they’re in secure employment”. SECURE? These group of people are just not the first ones being affected. What is a “secure employment” anyway?
Links : Metatrader & MQL4 development
When I first started looking into automated trading system development, particularly in currencies trading, Metatrader is always one of the candidates. The main problem with Metatrader , in my opinion, is without reputable broker. No, not another debate about Forex brokers. When your account grows bigger you will have more concerns over these issues.
Back to ATS, one of the reasons I like Metatrader is that there are full of free resources (craps as well) around the internet. Here are some links that I’ve found over the past weeks during my program development.
- Historical Data Importing by earnforex
- MQL4 tutorials by Coderguru
- Tricks to set up email alert in MT4 by newdigital (in forex-tsd)
- MQL4 documentation by MQL4.com
- OrderSend() magic number mystery by Coderguru
- Hosting multiple Expert Advisors in Metatrader by Coderguru
- Metatrader development course
Enjoy! And Happy New Year. Here is to a prosperous 2009.
2008, a year to forget, yet a year to remember
Its been a year to forget. With only two work-weeks left in 2008, the dollars year-to-date changes range from drops of 20% against the yen and 2.5% against the Swiss franc to gains of 5% against the euro, 23% against the Canadian dollar, 28% against the Australian dollar and 33% against sterling. Ten-year bond yields are down by 191 basis points in the U.S., 139 bps in Britain, 132 bps in Germany, and 28 bps in Japan. Among major equity indices, accrued losses amount to at least 34% for the Dow, Ftse, Dax, and Nikkei with the latter two down by 41.8% and 43.9%.

At least, I “witnessed” and “experienced” the meltdown. 😆 I thought it is really a year to remember.

My Netvibes page
Something to share.
I decided to turn my netvibes page into a public page. Basically it is where and what i am reading every morning when preparing my trading.
Nothing fancy, just to show you some tools that I am using for my trading. I thought it might be useful for some of my 10 readers.
Have fun!
