What is the worst psychological problem a trader wannabe can have?
Find a life solution in trading?
When you are trying to find a solution to your life in the business of trading.
How many times you feel unsatisfied in your day job, dislike the unfavoured working environment, having pathetic financial situations, or even poor social life, you then turn your focus into trading? You wanna make your own decision, be your own boss, hope, (yes, you hope), to make fortune from the buy and sell buttons.
Trying to solve your personal life problem in the trading business is another way to disaster. Not only financial but a disaster of your life.
Think….

I think you are right about this one. In some senses trading is a lot like backpacking. I once was back packing my way through the middle east once and I was having a beer once with some other backpackers in Syria. After a few we got into the topic of backpacking and why people did it. My view on back packing was about having fun and achieving life goals of seeing things that you always wanted to see. I mentioned that I was tired of meeting people who had problems in their day jobs and thought that travel would solve it, when in reality they would return to their day jobs and not much had changed. There was stunned silence around the table as I suddenly realised the rest of them were there precisely for that reason …

Caprica,
Yeah, that’s the point that I am thinking about now.
Btw, after your comment, did they leave the table and having beer somewhere else without you? LOL…

no – one of the girls broke down in tears and talked about her unhappy relationship with her long term boyfriend. I hear after the event she went home and dumped him, then got on a plane the next day to travel to see New York, because she always wanted to see the big apple.
I guess I was wrong. Travel can change you. However, I guess the point is she could have done that at home, but it took a drunk backpacker to tell her to do what she always knew she needed to do.
