Just some quick updates

Again, I am facing the same ‘problem’. I have not been trading since starting of March. With my current style of trading which is very much trend-following stuffs, so, I simply did not have any setup to get in. I am not so concerned about this “problem”, basically, I am just not trading, and the most importantly, not losing.

I have a couple of options. First is to expand my trading basket to commodities. Less dependent on equity only. This ain’t easy though, I am still studying to see if my system works. On the other hand, I am working on a new system on ER2, in which I intend to make it a “bread and butter” or “Pay-the-bill” type of system.

Let’s see if I can make some trades next week.

One side note, I guess, I am getting popular. Why? After getting increasing number of spams comment, now I start receiving negative comments. Holy cows. Anyway, I have deleted them, and I ain’t going to entertain these losers.

New Look – A superstitious reason

Another big change of this site again. I have spent some time to revamp the layout. I do this with a simple and superstitious reason. Green is my lucky colour for the year of PIG.

Yeah, I am superstitious. Most of successful businessmen in Asia do. Why not? 🙂 After all, green is a healthy colour for eyes.

No trade 30-Jan-2007; Change of time zone

I was looking at NQ futures, and no setup was found. Boring day for me. We are waiting for some catalysts this week.

I have just adjusted the time zone of this site to Eastern time. Since all my trading and blogging activities are targeting on American market. So, in case you are browsing some archieve of this blog (Thank you), and find some alignment problems of posting date, please switch to the next day, since all posting before today were written based on Singapore time (GMT +8). I am trying to do some tricks in database, let’s see if I can fix this problem.

Another note, I am experiencing big amount of spams recently, and I have the put plugins like Bad Behavior and Spam Karma 2 to work. In case, your comment was accidentally black listed, please shoot a email at my contact page.

I have been wasting too much time on this stupid web hosting and blogging stuffs. Now it is time to focus on trading to earn my air tickets.

Server migration

Apparently, my current hosting account is unable to take on the increase traffic (which I don’t think is that high? 😕 ) this site is experiencing, they are unable to assist me in any form, but asking me to consider to pay more for additionla CPU time. They had given me enough problems for the past two weeks by telling me they are facing hardware issues.

I have chosen another hosting firm with VPS (Virtual Private Server) technology. I am not very sure if this will improve current situation, at least I can get rid of the curret firm. I might still have WordPress issue that need to be solved.?I will be migrating my data to the new server.

?I will start posting once the new server is up.

Hosting+Blogging+WordPress 2.1

[photopress:suspended.PNG,full,pp_image]I am bitting my hosting firm now. As you might have noticed my site was down couples a time with the message “Exceed CPU quota”. After proving with all the log files, nothing seems to be wrong. I am still waiting for the technical support to answer me….

Since they keep claiming it might be caused by slow sql. I am wondering if WordPress 2.1 causes this? I am not sure. Any blogger out there using WordPress 2.1 and having the same problem? One of major changes in 2.1 are the fine-tuned sql queries.

Much more efficient database code, faster than previous versions. Domas Mituzas from MySQL went over all our queries with a fine-toothed comb.

Shoot me a comment if you have any clue.
