Server migration

Apparently, my current hosting account is unable to take on the increase traffic (which I don’t think is that high? 😕 ) this site is experiencing, they are unable to assist me in any form, but asking me to consider to pay more for additionla CPU time. They had given me enough problems for the past two weeks by telling me they are facing hardware issues.

I have chosen another hosting firm with VPS (Virtual Private Server) technology. I am not very sure if this will improve current situation, at least I can get rid of the curret firm. I might still have WordPress issue that need to be solved.?I will be migrating my data to the new server.

?I will start posting once the new server is up.

Hosting+Blogging+WordPress 2.1

[photopress:suspended.PNG,full,pp_image]I am bitting my hosting firm now. As you might have noticed my site was down couples a time with the message “Exceed CPU quota”. After proving with all the log files, nothing seems to be wrong. I am still waiting for the technical support to answer me….

support: I’m truly sorry about this

support: I am working with an admin to find out what is going on with this account

Since they keep claiming it might be caused by slow sql. I am wondering if WordPress 2.1 causes this? I am not sure. Any blogger out there using WordPress 2.1 and having the same problem? One of major changes in 2.1 are the fine-tuned sql queries.

Much more efficient database code, faster than previous versions. Domas Mituzas from MySQL went over all our queries with a fine-toothed comb.

Shoot me a comment if you have any clue.

Still no trade: Testing Patience

I continued staying away from NQ today. I did not find any good setup before lunch hour. There was no clear strength shown from bulls and bears. NQ indeed made a reversed in the mid day.

Tradergav.com on WordPress 2.1

I have just completed upgrading to WordPress 2.1. It seems to be a better content management system. Most of my plugins are working fine after the upgrade. But not my image management plugin Photopress (which allowed me to upload and manage images easily)

If you’re running WordPress2.1 and using some cool image management plugin. Please shoot me a comment.

Overall, WordPress 2.1. Cool 🙂

[photopress:NQ5minfull.jpg,thumb,alignleft]I have only made one trade today, after watching market till lunch hour, I decided to call it a day. No fun. It was a choppy morning. Yep, I got stopped out. In fact, that was a low probability entry. Setup was formed within a trading range. A better entry would be waiting for NQ breaking out from the range. But well, I was struggling between “higher lows” vs “trading range”…..It, in fact, looks stupid. Maybe I was just finding excuse to trade.
I will be extra cautious and patience, since it is options expiration week.

I did not have a valid entry for the afternoon sell off, so nothing was missed.

My Food Quest

Searching for good food is one of the missions in my life. This is a short, non-trading post. Just to share with you an Indonesian restaurant I have found in Singapore. In case you are dropping by Singapore, go and try it out.

I went to restaurant Ayam Bakar Ojolali last saturday. And the food is “certified” by my fiancee (who is Indonesian :)) to be nice and original. Here is their menu and address.
