Futures is down a little now. Before we get started a new trading day, let's have a look at STI (Straits times index) ended 31-Jul-2006. It is interesting to see STI managed to closed both 50-day and 200-day moving average. And in fact, it closed above recent downtrend line, which appeared to be an resistance area before. Earning season is yet to be over, price action of STI seems to be better for August. I am very keen to see if it manages to advance further above current level. Dummy day trading #1 31-Jul-2006: E-mini Nasdaq composite: Long trade closed
I was looking for Nasdaq-100 futures to move up further to resistance level around 15550. A nice setup during the opening, I have decided to get LONG above inside bar. Bull failed to impress further and my intial stop was triggered with 1.13-R loss.

SG futures market 31-Jul-2006 : No trade
It was another boring day for SG futures market. Both TIMSCI and SIMSCI did not provide good trade setup. Bulls failed to perform. TIMSCI closed in negative zone and filled the opening gap. SIMSCI opened high, and closed with +1.3 point gain, giving up most of morning gain. No trade was done. Here are the 15-min charts SIMSCI Futures

Dummy day trading 31-Jul-2006 I: 1st hour Asian trading
Good morning! ๐
I was so excited after spending two days (full day man, I skipped my gym wokout session and movie, Oops) to set up this site. What do you think about it? Oh, the banner background is one of famous bay in Singapore, and the place where some cool yachts park. (Man, I am going to park mine there, someday ..๐ )
Alrite, back to business, It was a positive day for DJ last Friday. Asian markets are continuing the positive sentiment (I guess, part of the force comes from the earning season trading). In the first hour of trading, I see Nikkei futures gaining around +200 points, though most of them are due to opening gap, intraday trend stays above moving averages and currently moving sideway.
MSCI Taiwan (TIMSCI) opened high and pulling back after opening gap. Gap is not filled. And it in fact, stays above moving averages. Intraday trend looks up. I am only looking at Long opportunity at this point time.
MSCI Singapore (SIMSCI), I am not trading this index futures, but I am interested in following SG market. Intraday trend looks up. I will only consider LONG for day trading purpose at this point of time. Looking at SG stocks market, advanced/decline is around 229/61. Pretty positive for the morning session
