Dummy day trading #64 26-Mar-2007: NQ Long trade closed

The first trade of the week is a -R loss. I got in long position of NQ a couple of minute before 10am (right before home sales report released). Am I right or wrong for the timing? I don’t know, but I don’t trade on news, anyway.

I am not going to post the chart this trade. Messy chart. One trade closed with -1 R loss.

I did make a mistake in this trade. In my premarket analysis journal, I have in fact, determine some levels of entry. And when I saw an opportunity, I totally forgot about these levels.  So, I wasted the time and effort of my premarket analysis. DUMB.

After the mistake of first trade (got it too early), I decided to give it another try, as market looked really strong today. I got in NQ futures around 1035am. And that was a better trade. Since the medicine was running in my body, I decided to use moving average to trail my stop and get out the trade fast.

Not so bad, second trade closed with +6.51 R gain. I think it is good enough for this sick trader. Alrite, time for me to get some sleep now.

Dummy day trading #60 12-Mar-2007: NQ Short trade closed

I made an attempt to short NQ futures when a new downtrend cycle was formed. And I got stopped out by this choppy day. Trailing stopped was triggered with -0.89 R loss. Tough.

Journal note: This is a bad entry. Trying to dummy trade when everything was still in the range.  Dumb trade.

I have not made a single trade since starting of March. Missed one entry yesterday, can’t find one today. Futures opened with gap and stays flat. I will spend the day reading instead.

I decided to make an attempt when NQ goes below opening low again. Short position was established around 951am during the first pull back of new downtrend cycle.Too bad, I was stopped out.

One trade closed with -1 R loss

I will stop trading for the day and get some rest. I am preparing monthly review now.

Dummy day trading #58 27-Feb-2007: NQ Short trade closed

Short position of NQ was established around 1116am. I did not expect too much out of this trade as we have a big gap down which took out yesterday’s low as well as last week’s low. Cash market has been losing more than -40 points. The real profit started from premarket , too bad, I was not ready to trade.

Trailing stop was moved, and was triggered around 1140am. Well, uneventful day. One trade closed with break even. 0 R.
